About Gitty

Gitty shows a repository as four panes at once — the working tree, the diff, the commit log and a real shell — so reading history and acting on it happen in the same window.

How to install Gitty

  1. Click Download — the project's official release page opens in a new tab.
  2. Download the latest .AppImage file.
  3. Make it executable: right-click › Properties › Permissions › Allow executing as program, or run chmod +x the-file.AppImage in a terminal.
  4. Double-click the file to run Gitty — there's nothing to install, and you can delete the file to remove it.
